The brand-new van also showcases significant payload competitiveness, with the electric version capable of handling up to 1.6 tonnes and ICE options nearly reaching 2 tonnes. This makes it exceptionally well-suited for businesses requiring the transportation of heavy-duty cargo.
As it boasts a payload capacity of 1.6 tonnes, it can be operated throughout Europe using a standard driver's licence. This grants users access to a payload size surpassing that of typical 3.5-tonne diesel vans.
The diesel and EV iterations of the next-generation Interstar both come equipped with a maximum towing capacity of up to 2500kg.
The latest model also offers significantly enhanced manoeuvrability, featuring an improved turning diameter of -1.5 meters compared to previous versions. This ensures smoother navigation through challenging urban streets without sacrificing load-carrying capability.
As with all of Nissan’s vehicles, customer well-being is a top priority. As standard, the new generation Interstar models come equipped with an extensive array of safety features such as Forward Emergency Braking, Drowsiness Warning, and a Tyre Pressure Monitoring System. The all-new model also includes Trailer Sway Assist for enhanced security while towing goods.
The innovative 1-box braking system guarantees optimised braking power, regardless of the vehicle's weight. Now the Interstar's response time for emergency braking has been halved in comparison to previous generation models, providing drivers with enhanced peace of mind and ensuring utmost safety on the road.
The Interstar provides a top driving range of over 286 miles thanks to its 87kWh battery, allowing drivers to reach client after client without worry. Nissan's D/C Charging offers rapid capabilities, recharging up to 157 miles in just 30 minutes, and a shorter mission version with a 40kWh battery for approximately 124 miles.
European customers have the choice of both the Interstar-e, equipped with a full-electric powertrain, and a diesel option.
