Hyundai Reveals Stunning All-New IONIQ 6 Design

Hyundai has revealed the highly anticipated IONIQ 6, making it the second model from the IONIQ sub-brand. It is described as an 'Electrified Streamliner', as its sculpted body design provides excellent aerodynamics and contemporary looks.

The design is inspired by Hyundai's 'Prophecy EV Concept', that features a cocoon-like interior and an overall design theme of 'Ethical Uniqueness' which reflects Hyundai's commitment to sustainability and environmental responsibility.

IONIQ 6 has an incredible drag coefficient of just 0.21 which is helped by its sloped profile, low nose, active air flaps, wheel gap reducers and optional slim digital side mirrors. Popular retro-style lighting as seen on the IONIQ 5 returns to Hyundai's latest EV featuring 700 Parametric Pixels located around the vehicle in the areas such as the headlamps, rear combination lamps and air vent garnishes.

Hyundai’s Electric Global Modular Platform (E-GMP) enabled the designers to stretch the interior, front and rear, creating lots of legroom and spaciousness that let you and any passengers stay comfortable.

Spanning the dashboard is a 12-inch touchscreen infotainment display and 12-inch digital instrument cluster that are neatly blended into one sleek panel.

There is the choice of 64 ambient lighting colours as well as six dual colour themes for a relaxing, customisable experience. The removal of buttons on the front doors has provided more room for storage and transparent accents on the crash pad garnish, door map pocket and the lower console further enhance the amount of space.

The IONIQ 6 world premiere will take place next month (July) which will reveal the full specifications, including all of the exciting features and technologies.
