Vauxhall has unveiled its next-generation Corsa model, which will go on sale in the UK later this year. The new Corsa has many improvements in terms of design, technology and powertrain options, including an emphasis on its electric models.

The New Corsa's design will showcase Vauxhall's distinctive Vizor front end, which was first seen on the Mokka model. It has a sleek panel between the LED headlights that houses advanced driver aids and safety technologies. The panel also features the new Griffin logo. The car will have 17-inch alloy wheels with black details and a shark fin antenna at the back, giving it a stylish appearance.

Vauxhall has improved the lighting technology on the New Corsa, upgrading it with IntelliLux LED Pixel Matrix lights. These lights automatically adjust to provide a clear view of the road, even in dark and poor lighting conditions, without causing glare for other drivers.

In terms of power, the New Corsa Electric will come with Vauxhall's latest 51kWh electric battery. The upgraded electric motor will produce more power, resulting in improved performance. The new powertrain will offer a range of 255 miles (WLTP), which is a 15% increase compared to the previous model. There will be two powertrain options for the Corsa Electric, including the existing 100kW (136PS) powertrain that provides a range of up to 222 miles (WLTP). The Corsa Electric models will come with an 11kW onboard charger as standard, allowing a full charge in around 5 hours and 15 minutes. Rapid charging at 100kW will enable a 10% to 80% charge in just 30 minutes.

Vauxhall aims to make it easy for customers to choose the right model by offering a simple trim line-up. In addition to the electric options, the New Corsa will introduce a 48-volt hybrid powertrain that offers improved efficiency without the need to plug in. There will also be petrol variants available, providing choices to suit different needs.

Inside the New Corsa, you'll find an upgraded infotainment system with a user-friendly interface. The touchscreen will be larger at 10 inches, and the driver instrument display will have new graphics on its 7-inch screen. The steering wheel design, seat patterns, and shift lever have been updated for a fresh look.

For the first time, wireless smartphone charging will be available, and you'll be able to connect your smartphone with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The New Corsa will offer Connected 3D Navigation and Over-the-Air updates, allowing owners to access the latest features without visiting a retailer. The car will also have intelligent voice control with natural voice recognition, activated by saying 'Hey Vauxhall.' Safety features include adaptive cruise control, a speed limiter, automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, and a high-resolution panoramic rear-view camera to assist with parking and manoeuvring.
