Vauxhall Reveals Pricing and Specifications for the Mokka GSE

Vauxhall has revealed the pricing and specifications for its new Mokka GSE, which will be its fastest electric vehicle to date.

Performance Meets Rally-Inspired Engineering

The Mokka GSE is powered by a 54 kWh battery (51 kWh usable) and an electric motor that delivers 280 hp and 345 Nm of torque. It accelerates from 0 to 62 mph in 5.9 seconds, reaches a top speed of 124 mph, and offers up to 209 miles WLTP range (with optional tyres).

To support its sporty character, the car is built with rally-inspired chassis components. On the front, a Torsen multi-plate limited-slip differential combines with upgraded knuckles and wishbone bushings. At the rear, a new anti-roll bar increases stiffness by 189 percent. The suspension features double hydraulic bump-stop shock absorbers, while braking is handled by Alcon 380 mm front discs with four-piston calipers in a striking GSE yellow.

Striking Design Inside and Out

Visually, the Mokka GSE projects performance through aggressive styling: black gloss sports bumpers, distinctive air inlets, GSE badging, tinted rear windows, and a contrasting black roof (a body-colour roof is available as a no-cost option). It rides on 20-inch GSE diamond-cut bi-colour alloys with Michelin Pilot Sport EV tyres by default, with an optional upgrade to Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 3 tyres (adds ~8 miles of range) for £100.

Inside, the cabin carries the performance theme with heated Alcantara™ GSE sport bucket seats, a heated vegan leather steering wheel (flattened top and bottom), aluminium sports pedals, ambient lighting, and dark interior trims. The vehicle is equipped with the PureSense and PureConnect technology suites, offering advanced driver assistance, a 10-inch multimedia display with EV routing, wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto, and a performance data display including acceleration, G-force, and battery metrics.

Charging and Driving Modes

The Mokka GSE comes with an 11 kW onboard charger, which includes vehicle-to-load (V2L) capability (adapter sold separately). Using a 100 kW DC fast charger, it can reach 0–80 % in 27 minutes. A full charge via an 11 kW AC charger takes about 5 hours 45 minutes.

Drivers can choose from three drive modes:

Sport: full power, dynamic settings

Normal: balanced everyday driving

Eco: optimized for efficiency and range

Pricing, Grants & Availability

The on-the-road list price for the Mokka GSE is £36,995, which qualifies for the £1,500 UK Electric Car Grant (ECG), bringing the effective price down to £35,495 OTR. The Mokka Electric range (non-GSE) starts from £31,005 OTR (post-grant). First deliveries of the GSE version are expected by the end of the year.

Steve Catlin, Managing Director of Vauxhall, said:

“The Mokka GSE combines the perfect blend of power, driving fun, and exceptional value. Drawing on years of electric motorsport expertise, customers can experience exhilarating rally-inspired performance without compromising comfort or everyday usability.”
