The Vauxhall Mokka-e has been awarded the Erin Baker Award at the 2022 Auto Trader New Car Awards. The award is presented by Erin Baker, Auto Trader's Editorial Director and is given to vehicles that not only have an excellent design, but those that also have a strong outlook on sustainability.
Erin Baker, Editorial Director at Auto Trader, said:
“The Vauxhall Mokka-e, with its sharp, sporty looks, a whole range of vibrant colours, a decent touchscreen and a genuinely usable electric range ticks every box for me this year. It’s the best all-rounder, a huge well done to Vauxhall!”
The Mokka-e was the first in Vauxhall's line-up to feature the new Vizor design language; a smooth black panel that spans the front of the car, blending into the headlights. The panel also houses the Mokka's radar and sensor technology giving it great visibility of the road ahead. Mokka-e is powered by a 50kWh battery and 100kW (136hp) motor, that can provide a WLTP range of up to 209 miles on a single charge. The Mokka-e supports 100kW rapid charging with an 0-80% charge taking just 30 minutes.
Paul Willcox, Managing Director, Vauxhall, said:
“The Mokka-e continues to impress both customers and industry experts. The Mokka and Mokka-e were the first Vauxhall models to showcase our new design language, and are an example of where Vauxhall is heading as a brand. By 2024, we will offer an electrified variant across our entire model line-up, before becoming an electric-only brand by 2028.”
