Vauxhall Corsa Electric Wins ‘Best Electric Small Car’ in ECOCAR Electrified Top 50 Awards

The Vauxhall Corsa Electric has been awarded ‘Best Electric Small Car’ by Diesel&EcoCar Magazine in the 2024 EcoCar Electrified Top 50 awards.

Now in its third year, the EcoCar Electrified Top 50 awards recognise the best new electric, hybrid, plug-in hybrid, and hydrogen fuel-cell vehicles available. The Corsa Electric was praised for its efficient electric powertrains and value for money, making it one of the UK’s most accessible electric vehicles.

Ian Robertson, Editor of Diesel&EcoCar Magazine, stated:

“The Corsa is our Best Electric Small Car for 2024. It received a facelift with a new look and an updated Stellantis set of features, including a 154bhp electric motor and a 51kWh battery, extending its range to 248 miles. This model is well-equipped and offers fantastic value for money.”

The YES Edition features a 136PS electric motor and 50kWh battery, providing a range of up to 221 miles (WLTP) and can be charged from 0-80% in just 30 minutes with a 100kW rapid charger. It boasts stylish elements from the GS version, including a contrasting black roof and a choice of paint colours, such as the exclusive Record Red, all at no extra cost. Inside, it offers sports-style front seats with red accents and YES Edition badging on the dashboard.

Customers can also opt for the Corsa Electric Long Range, equipped with a next-generation 51kWh battery and a 115kW (156 PS) motor, available in GS and Ultimate trims. This version combines power and efficiency, achieving 0-62mph in 8.2 seconds and a range of 248 miles (WLTP), making it ideal for both short and long journeys.
