Renault Austral Levels Up: Sharper Looks, Smarter Tech

Renault’s bold C-segment SUV, the Austral, gets a sharp new look and more tech for 2025. First launched back in 2022, it now features a redesigned front end, new lighting signature, and refined high-gloss trim elements inspired by the Renault Rafale.

The exterior is more dynamic, with a refreshed bonnet, bumper, and grille featuring 3D diamond detailing. New body colours like Naxos Blue and Satin Pearl White, along with Alpine-specific finishes, boost its visual appeal. Adaptive LED and Matrix Vision lighting tech add premium flair.

Inside, Austral brings more comfort and sophistication. New seats with recycled fabric upholstery, enhanced sound insulation, and laminated front windows (on higher trims) create a calmer ride. A sliding rear bench provides exceptional legroom, and the boot holds up to 1,736L.

Tech-wise, the twin OpenR screens (up to 12.3" and 12") with Google built-in offer seamless navigation, voice control, and access to popular apps. Wireless charging, USB-C ports for all passengers, and a head-up display (on Alpine trims) elevate daily driving.

Under the hood, the full hybrid E-Tech 200 hp powertrain pairs a 1.2L turbo engine with two electric motors for smooth, efficient driving. With just 4.7L/100km fuel consumption and CO₂ emissions at 106g/km, it delivers quick acceleration and smart energy use.

Driving feels confident and safe, thanks to 30 advanced driver assistance systems, improved suspension, and Multi-Sense driving modes. Predictive maintenance via the My Renault app makes ownership simpler, alerting drivers when attention or service is needed.

The Austral is available in three trims: techno, techno esprit Alpine, and iconic esprit Alpine—each with unique styling and features like chrome or black accents, exclusive wheels, and Alpine-blue interior details.
