Hyundai Motor Company’s latest compact electric vehicle, the INSTER, has been announced as a Top 3 finalist in the prestigious 2025 World Car Awards. This marks the fourth year in a row that Hyundai has earned recognition at the global competition, reinforcing the brand’s growing reputation for cutting-edge electric innovation.
The INSTER is competing in three major categories: World Car of the Year, World Urban Car, and World Electric Vehicle. As Hyundai’s all-electric A-segment crossover, the INSTER blends futuristic styling with impressive practicality, designed specifically for city life without compromising on performance or range.
Equipped with a 49-kWh long-range battery, the INSTER offers an estimated range of up to 370 km and features rapid charging capability — reaching 10% to 80% in just around 30 minutes. Its tech-focused interior and compact footprint make it ideal for urban mobility, while its design sets it apart in a growing segment.
Hyundai has consistently impressed at the World Car Awards. In 2024, the IONIQ 5 N claimed the World Performance Car title, and in both 2022 and 2023, the IONIQ 5 and IONIQ 6 secured a trio of major awards each — including the highly coveted World Car of the Year.
The final winners of the 2025 World Car Awards will be announced at the New York International Auto Show. With strong momentum behind it, the INSTER could be Hyundai’s next EV success story on the world stage.
