This summer, St Pancras International will host a celebration of historic Anglo-French rivalries, offering visitors the chance to explore the highly anticipated Renault 5 E-Tech 100% electric in a unique display blending English and French cultures.
From Monday, July 22 to Sunday, August 11, a section of a Parisian cobbled street will be recreated on the main concourse of the iconic London station. The new Renault 5 E-Tech 100% electric, featuring a Union Jack on its roof, will be parked next to a British telephone box given a Renault-themed makeover.
"It’s not easy to be a British icon. If you’re French," the display will remind passers-by, inviting them to discover the contemporary design and innovative technology of the new Renault 5. Some visitors will even have the chance to take home a limited-edition scale model of the car in the same patriotic livery.
David Isherwood, Marketing Director of Renault UK, stated:
"The original Renault 5 charmed the nation with its sense of fun and innovative style. Now the Renault 5 is back, reinvented to bring some excitement to the world of compact electric vehicles, and it’s keen to reclaim its status as a cultural icon. For many, this will be their first chance to see the new Renault 5 E-Tech 100% electric before its official UK launch next year and to get acquainted with its heart-winning design and cutting-edge technology."
Faithful to the 2021 concept car, the Renault 5 E-Tech 100% electric merges its storied past with modern advancements. Featuring an all-electric AmpR small car platform, agile handling, and innovative technology, it boasts a driving range of up to 248 miles on a single charge (pending WLTP certification).
