The Dacia Sandero is the cheapest new car currently available in the UK, with prices starting from an unbelievable £5,995 on the road! The Dacia Sandero is also an award winner, having won What Car?’s ‘Best Small Car for less than £12,000’ award for the fifth consecutive year in 2017 - Steve Huntingford, Editor of What Car? said: “You won’t find this much space for so little in any other new car. A recent facelift brought an updated, higher quality interior. The Sandero also feels better to drive: the handling is tidy enough and the ride is surprisingly comfy for such a cheap car".
The revised Dacia Sandero offers plenty of style despite its low price. The Sandero’s fluid lines and curves, combined with its new honeycomb-style grille, give the car a truly modern look, while the car's a new lighting signatures front and back, including LED daytime running lights, mean the Sandero is just as stylish at night as it is during the day.
Step inside the Sandero you will find a comfortable, relaxed
cabin with contemporary satin-effect accents along with a new, four-spoke
steering wheel that is more tactile to hold. There’s still generous space to seat five people while the large, 320-litre boot will swallow everything you want to take with
The Dacia Sandero is now an even more comfortable place to spend a journey. In models featuring electric windows, the switches have been moved from the centre console to the doors for better ergonomics, while the driver's window now features one-touch operation. It's not just front seat passengers that have benefited from updates, there is now a 12V socket for those in the back seats, allowing rear seat passengers to charge the electronic devices.
Air conditioning is becoming a must-have feature for many drivers and the Dacia Sandero now comes with air conditioning as standard from Ambiance trim level upwards so you can stay cool for less. Laureate models feature cruise control as standard to help make longer journeys a breeze.
The Dacia Sandero also features some of the latest technology with DAB digtal radio now standard across the range (excluding Access models) giving you access to many more radio stations as well as higher quality audio. Sandero Laureate models come fitted with the MediaNav multi-media system as standard. The MediaNav system offers touchscreen satellite navigation as well as smartphone voice recognition (depending on phone model).
Alongside the TCe 90 petrol and dCi 90 diesel engines, the Dacia Sandero now features a new SCe 75 petrol engine, replacing the pervious 1.2 16v unit. This 75-horsepower, three-cylinder, 1.0-litre unit has benefited from Renault’s expertise. The result is a CO2 emissions and fuel consumption saving of almost 10 per cent compared to the engine it replaces.
